This is one of an estimated 2,900 brass frame models manufactured from 1870 to 1882. The left side of the top strap is marked "MY FRIEND" along with the 1865 patent date. The five-shot cylinder is plain while the brass frame features a scroll engraving on the sides and engraved accents on the front and on the top strap. The cylinder pin and cylinder are numbered to the gun. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection
Very good. The frame retains a few areas of original silver plating with the exposed brass having an untouched attractive aged patina. The cylinder has a smooth gray patina with some pin point pitting. The engraving is crisp. Mechanically fine.
