Manufactured in 1882. The barrel features the desirable etched "COLT D.A. 41" etched panel on the left side. The top of the barrel has the two-line Hartford address. The left side of the frame has the three-line patent date markings. "41 CAL" is marked on the left side of the trigger guard. Matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. Excellent, retaining 95% "frosted" original nickel finish with some fading on the barrel. The etched panel is clear. The hammer, trigger, screws and cylinder pin retain 60% original niter blue finish. The grips are also excellent with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. A solid representative example of a nickel plated Colt Model 1877 Thunderer Revolver with desirable etched panel.
