Manufactured in 1898. The No. 1 barrel is fitted with a replacement combination front sight, elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sight, and is marked with the standard two-line address and "22 W.C.F." There is a peep sight mounted on the upper tang and British proofs on the barrel and receiver. It is mounted with a smooth Schnabel tip forearm with ebony insert and straight grip stock with a special order smooth shotgun buttplate. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection
Very fine, retains 80% of the original blue finish and 85% of the vibrant original case colors with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina and a few scattered patches of light pitting on the barrel. The revarnished wood is very fine with a few scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
