Approximately 6,000 of these Marlin O.K. Model derringers were manufactured from 1863 to 1870, with few known examples having a square butt grip frame like this example has. The top barrel flat is marked "O.K" and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the barrel, left of the grip frame. Fitted with blade front and hammer notch rear sights, as well as a pair of smooth rosewood grips.
Very good, showing mostly a smooth grey patina on the iron with a few scattered patches of light pitting and an attractive antique patina on the brass. The grips are also very good with minor chips absent at the top of both panels, a couple hairline cracks, and otherwise light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
