Blued Excelsior steel barrels with single white bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard Beretta markings, 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and interchangeable chokes (improved cylinder/modified installed). The coin finished sideplated action displays beautiful floral scroll engraving with bouquets of flowers interspersed surrounding a trio of pheasant in an upland scene on the left plate and a pair of woodcocks on the right plate. The triggerplate is signed "Bottega C. Giovanelli" for the famous firm. The gun features a single gold trigger and tang mounted safety/selector switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered Schnabel tip forend with engraved fittings including the Deeley style release and pistol grip stock with blank gold inscription oval and Old English recoil pad. This gun includes two extra barrel sets, one 30 inch 28 gauge set and one 29 1/2 inch 20 gauge set as well as six extra choke tubes all housed in an Americase takedown case. Barrel measurements for the 28 gauge set (U/O): 2 3/4 inch chambers; bore diameter nine inches from the breech .549/.549 inches; minimum wall thickness .048/.050 inches. Excellent, retaining 97% plus original blue and 99% original coin finishes with minor handling evidence. The wood is very good with scattered light scratches, a few dings near the toe, and crisp checkering. The case and extra barrels are excellent. Mechanically excellent.
