Manufactured in 1908 with standard markings including Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel in front of the rear sight and receiver at the breech. Fitted with pinned blade front, Lyman two leaf rear sights, and tang mounted peep sight, as well as a saddle ring on the left of the receiver. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a carbine buttplate.
Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish, 70% of the original case colors, and 80% plus of the original niter blue on the loading gate with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina and some noticeable moderate pitting visible on the buttplate. The wood is also very fine with some scattered light dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
