Manufactured in 1873 per the chart on page 117 of Nigel Brown's "British Gunmaker's: Volume One - London". Blade front and three leaf (one standing, two folding) rear sights on the smooth solid rib which is marked "H. HOLLAND 98. NEW BOND ST. LONDON." The casehardened hammer action features attractive floral scroll engraving, double triggers, and an underlever barrel release. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and wedge fastener and straight grip stock with blank inscription oval and casehardened steel buttplate. With brown leather wrapped takedown case. The length of pull is 14 inches. The weight is 5 lbs 7 oz.

Very fine as refurbished, retaining 98% blue and casehardened finishes, some pitting beneath the forend, and light handling evidence. The wood is also very fine, showing a few minor marks, wear at the buttplate, and sharp checkering. The case is good with non-functioning latch. Mechanically excellent.
