Proofed at the Birmingham proof house in 1968. Blued steel barrels with smooth, concave solid rib, "Webley & SCOTT" and "BIRMINGHAM" on the right and left barrels respectively, and chambers marked 2 3/4 inches with ejectors. The boxlock action shows light scrollwork with "WEBLEY & SCOTT" on either side and features double triggers and automatic tang mounted safety switch. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered walnut splinter forend with Anson button release and engraved fittings and straight grip stock with blank inscription oval and serrated bare butt. Includes a canvas bound takedown case marked "N.A.W." on the lid with cleaning rod, and cleaning tools. Stock measurements: 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/4 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs 9 oz.
Very fine, retaining 99% professionally reapplied blue finish, 97% original case colors on the action, and areas of light freckling. The wood is also very fine with a small chip in the left of the forend, minor marks, and sharp checkering. The case is also very fine with light wear. Mechanically excellent.
