Manufactured in 1950. Single steel bead front sight on the matted vent rib which is marked "Anton Sodia - Ferlach", upper barrel marked "Made in Austria" and "Antinit * Stahl", light scroll engraving at the breech end, later added interchangeable choke tubes (modified/full installed), and 70 mm (2 3/4 inch) chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin finished hand detachable sidelock action displays fantastic deep cut relief engraved game scenes and carved fences all surrounded by floral scrollwork. The left shows a German pointer flushing grouse, the right has a fox chasing mallards, and the underside shows a capercaillie. The gun features double triggers and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered three piece forend with engraved fittings including the Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap and rubber recoil pad. Includes a leather bound takedown case with snap caps, cleaning tools, and three extra choke tubes (light modified, improved cylinder, and skeet). Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .715/.716 inches; minimum wall thickness .034/.032 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 5/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 6 oz.

Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue and coin finishes, minor handling evidence, and some light wear at the muzzles. The wood is very fine with a few minor scratches and sharp checkering. The case is very fine with minor storage type wear. Mechanically excellent.
