Manufactured in 1966. Blued, Bohler Stahl barrels with single brass bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard Merkel markings, chambers marked 70 mm (2 3/4 inch) with automatic ejectors, and choke constrictions measured .007/.024 inches (improved cylinder/full). The casehardened bolstered boxlock action displays light floral scroll engraving and features double triggers and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered three-piece forend with engraved fittings including the Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece and hard rubber gripcap and buttplate with whiteline spacers. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 5/8 inch drop at heel; 14 9/16 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs 15 oz.
Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish, 95% original case colors, small spot of oxidation on the Deeley latch, and minor handling evidence. The wood is also excellent with a few light marks and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
