A takedown variant of the Type 99 Arisaka designed to be carried disassembled by paratroopers when jumping and then put together on the ground. Features blade front and folding rear sights with anti-aircraft wings, intact mum on the receiver, matching correct "787" assembly numbered stock attachment irons, screw, and barrel, all matching numbers on the balance (except dust cover) smooth pistol grip stock with cupped buttplate, and the matching partial serial number on the bayonet lug and bolt components. Includes a correct replacement dust cover.
Excellent, with 97% plus of the original blue finish, showing some mild wear along the edges, a few areas of brown patina and mild handling marks. The wood is very fine, with mild dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
