Manufactured by DWM and sold commercially by Krieghoff, this pistol's serial number is recorded on page 142 of "The Krieghoff Parabellum". Acquired and sold prior to Krieghoff entering the Luger game themselves, the exact destination of these pistols is unknown, though speculated as being an English-speaking country. Fixed sights, with a blank chamber and "DWM" monogram on the toggle, "crown/N" proofs on some components, and "GERMANY" on the right side rail. The back of the pistol has been stamped "KRIEGHOFF" and "SUHL", the latter inverted. Straw finished small parts, with checkered grips and a nickel finished magazine with unmarked wood base.
Exceptionally fine, with 90% of the original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear, mild spotting and light handling marks overall. The straw finished parts retain 85% plus bright color, with a bright steel appearance to the remainder. The grips are fine, with mild dents and scratches, as well as a small chip absent near the safety lever. Mechanically excellent.
