Description:

This is a scarce commercial, fully automatic M1A rifle as produced by Springfield Armory Inc. in Geneseo, IL. Most famous for being a semi-auto only variant of the U.S. M14, a limited number of M1As (believed to be about 125) were factory made as automatic rifles. Blade front and peep rear sights, with a barrel marked "TRW" and "12 63" on the right side, "HRA" op rod, "SA CCA" bolt, "OM-N" hammer and a "HR-N" trigger housing. The proper sear bar and selector switch are installed on the right side of the receiver. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a circled "P" on the wrist and a checkered buttplate with a flip-up cover. With a Pelican-brand hardcase.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 95% plus original parkerized finish, showing mild wear and handling marks overall. Heavier rust/oxidization is present on the buttplate, shoulder rest and rear sling swivel. The stock is very fine, with some staining and wear. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
