This large rifle has a blade front sight, notch rear sight with folding leaf with two apertures and a scroll finial, an anchor shaped mark ahead, "GB" behind along with scroll and geometric engraving, "86/5" on top near the breech, and a pair of "ID" maker's marks (Jacob Dilisi of Bern, Switzerland). The lock is engraved with dogs and scrolls, and the brass furniture has cast floral patterns and hunting scenes including a running hare on the side plate and dog and stag on the trigger guard bow. The rifle is equipped with adjustable double set triggers. A brass tipped iron ramrod is included. The stock is carved along its entire length with deer, three hunters and dogs on the right side of the butt in a forest scene, a boar being attacked by a dog, and a comic scene of a sleeping hunter surrounded by deer, rabbits, and a fox on the cheek rest in a forest scene.
