The tsuba is round iron construction, with 14 scallops around the edge and a pierced-through leaf design in the center. The fuchi and kashira are gold accented brass, with a pair of of dog themed menuki under the dark wrap. The saya is wrapped in textured black leather, with fittings decorated to match the hilt. The tang has one mekugi-ana, and a 12-figure carved signature on the left side.
