Manufactured in 1914, this is one of only 3,400 of these special flattop target New Service Model revolver produced. The top of the barrel is marked with the standard two-line address and patent dates, model and caliber marking on the left of the barrel, and the Rampant Colt on the left of the frame. It is fitted with the flat top frame, adjustable blade front and notch rear sights, checkered trigger, checkered grip straps, and checkered diamond/fleur-de-lis pattern walnut grips with Colt medallions.

Exceptionally fine, retains 85% of the bright original high polish blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily at the muzzle and on handling areas. The grips are fine with a few extremely minor chips visible along the back edges, some minor dings, and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
