This National Match rifle is fitted with two scope blocks, one mounted on top of the receiver and the other one on the barrel, with a Winchester A5 commercial scope installed on the blocks. The scope has the standard two-line Winchester commercial markings. The barrel is marked "SA/(Ordnance shell and flame)/2-32" with the small star-gauge marking on the muzzle crown. The barrel is fitted with the standard blade front sight and the folding ladder rear sight. It has a matching electro-stencil serial numbered "N.S." marked bright polished bolt. It is fitted with a standard two-bolt walnut pistol grip type stock. Boxed "D.A.L." inspection cartouche marked on the left wrist of the stock with a single circled "P" proof on the underside above the pistol grip. The lower rear underside area of the buttstock is renumbered with the matching serial number ahead of faint remnants of a non-matching serial number in front the sling swivel. It has the standard all milled components, with a heavily checkered NM type steel buttplate. Includes an M1907 leather sling and steel muzzle cover. Exceptionally fine, retains 97% plus original parkerized finish with light handling marks and some light edge wear. Period arsenal replacement stock is very fine as lightly sanded and re-oiled with some light handling marks and scratches and is renumbered to match as mentioned above. Mechanically excellent. Scope is very fine, retains 80% original blue finish on the tube with clear optics.
