Description:

One of the descendants of the famous Browning 1917 machine gun, the Model 1919 discards the heavy water jacket in favor of an air cooling arrangement, increasing the mobility of the weapon, and variants of the Model 1919 would be American military mainstays in multiple roles for decades. Folding blade front and ladder rear sights, with the Ramo address, S/N and model markings on the right side plate, ventilated barrel heat shield, a pintle mount, and a pair of "spade" grips and checkered "butterfly" thumb trigger on the rear. Parts are from multiple sources. Included with the item are a number of accessories, including a 1944 dated AMC .30 cal. M2 tripod with T&E mechanism, olive drab green painted M1917A2 tripod, 1919A6 barrel shroud with bipod and carry handle, 1919A6 buttstock, Model 1918 belt loader, wooden ammo box, metal ammo box, canvas belts, various extra small parts, tools, and accessories.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 80% matte gray parkerized finish with the barrel jacket showing some thinning and scattered light freckling, scattered light pitting around the muzzle end, and a few areas of light freckling on the top cover, latch, and rear sight. The spade handles are fine with some light scratches. Mechanically excellent. M1917A2 tripod is fine. M2 tripod is very good with general wear. The accessories show wear appropriate to age but overall appear to be in good order. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
