Manufactured in 1908 as a standard VHE Grade gun as confirmed on page 424 of "Parker Gun Identification & Serialization" by Price and Fjestad. The gun was then converted to a factory built cut-away demonstrator model to show the internal functions of the gun for use by salesmen. The gun is marked "CUT-AWAY DEMONSTRATOR" on the side of the left barrel and "NEW YORK SALES OFFICE/NOT FOR TRADE" on the right barrel. The stock has also been factory marked in large yellow letters "PAT'D PARKER/BROS." on the left side. This is an extremely rare example of these Parker cut-away guns in that, according to an included letter from Richard Fairchild, he states that a total of only three were built, of which the other two are Damascus barreled guns, meaning this is truly a one-of-a-kind piece. Also included is a letter from Larry DelGrego stating that he believes the gun to be a genuine demonstrator. The hammer spring is included but not installed.

Very fine, retaining 95% plus original blue finish, a mix of grey and brown patina on the action, areas of light spotting, and light handling evidence. The wood is also very fine with a few dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent as a demonstrator.
