Blued Bohler steel barrels with beaded blade front and flip up rear sights on the matted flat solid rib along with a pair of German claw scope mounts holding a Hertel & Reuss Macro-Variable 2-7x scope and the lower barrel fitted with the forward sling swivel. The top barrel is marked "BUHAG SUHL HANDWERKSARBEIT", 1973 dated German proofs near the lugs, and attractive broad floral scroll at the breech and on the front scope base. The grey finished sidelock action displays masterfully executed deep chisel cut oak leaf and acorn motifs on the bolster and broad floral scroll engraving surrounding a red stag and hind in a forested scene on the left and a pair of dogs running two wild boars in a forested scene on the right, both of which are cut in highly detailed relief. The engraving continues to the toplever, both tangs, and the trigger guard. The gun features double triggers, a lock mounted safety switch, and tang mounted selector switch for the two rifle barrels. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings, including the Deeley latch release, and pistol grip stock with scalloped horn grip cap, shadowline cheek piece, rear sling swivel, and engraved skeleton buttplate around the checkered butt.
