Originally manufactured by Arsenal Inc. of Las Vegas using a stamped Bulgarian AK receiver, the SLR 107 UR was made in deliberate emulation of the "Krinkov" pattern AK carbine, with a faux silencer over the legal length barrel. This example has received a SBR conversion from R&S Arms of Silver Springs, Maryland, where the faux silencer was discarded, the barrel shortened and fitted with an adjustable flash hider/pressure chamber. More properly named the AK-74U, the Krinkov or Krink was intended to fill what is today called the "personal defense weapon" niche, for people who needed more firepower than a pistol and less bulk than a rifle; in Afghanistan, they were mostly associated with the crews of armored vehicles and helicopters (and the Mujahideen who managed to knock out a tank or chopper and take one from the wreckage). Post front and two-leaf rear sights, the latter installed on the hinge assembly for the receiver cover, the Arsenal nomenclature on the left side of the receiver, and the R&S marking on the underside. Matching numbers present on the dust cover, bolt carrier and bolt. Fitted with a ribbed forearm, a grooved pistol grip, and a side-folding steel buttstock.

Excellent, with 98% of the original matte black finish, showing some light wear and handling marks overall. The stock and furniture are in equal condition. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
