Outstanding Smith & Wesson Model No. 2 "Old Army" Revolver with Rare 5 Inch Barrel

This S&W "Old Army Revolver" was manufactured in 1867-1868, it is in exceptional condition and is factory fitted with the original rare 5 inch barrel. The barrel rib has the one-line address, and the cylinder has the patent date marking. The right grip panel is numbered to the gun. Matching assembly numbers appear on the grip frame, barrel and cylinder. Provenance: The Sheryl Cheely Collection

ConditionExcellent, retaining 98% bright original high polish blue finish with some flaking on the barrel towards the muzzle. The cylinder face shows no trace of gun being fired. The grips are also excellent with very minimal handling marks and nearly all original varnish remaining. Mechanically excellent. A very attractive S&W Model No. 2 "Old Army" Revolver in exceptional condition with a difficult to find and desirable barrel length!
