Description:

This interesting flintlock powder tester bears no visible maker's marks but features 50% coverage, finely executed, floral and vine engraving, primarily on the sides of the boxlock action. The wheel is hand engraved with additional floral motifs as well as the numbers 1-10. The grip is finely carved with scalloped flats, floral motifs, and checkered panels.

Rating Definition:

Very good, showing mostly a smooth grey patina with some scattered light surface pitting and mostly crisp engraving. The grip is fine with some mild wear/flat spots, some light handling marks, and mostly well-defined carving/checkering. Mechanically excellent.
