Features globe front sight and block filled rear dovetail on the octagon barrel with two line Marlin Firearms Corporation legend and caliber marking at the frame on the top left barrel flat. Casehardened takedown receiver with "Marlin/MOD. 39" marking on upper tang covered by a tang peep sight. Fitted with a plain walnut forend and pistol grip buttstock.

Very fine, retaining 90% original blue finish and 95% refinished case colors with scattered light handling marks, some wear on the lever and forward magazine tube, and some pitting on the receiver. Wood is fine as re-oiled with scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
