This 18 x 24 3/8 inch print features a man on horseback accompanied by a dog overseeing a grazing flock of sheep in the American West and has been lightly tinted with color. It lacks the typical L.A. Huffman markings but is very much in the style of his work. The plastic wrapping around the print is marked "Sheep Grazing Powder River Badlands. Cap Butte. RBW 85". Laton Alton Huffman (1854-1931) was among the few photographers to capture ranching life in Montana in the late 19th century.
