Two Landscape Prints of the American West, One Marked by L.A. Huffman

1) Unmarked, black and white, panorama style print featuring some scattered cattle grazing and a central mountain in the background. Measures 9 5/8 x 23 1/8 inches. 2) Colorized print of a hillside, marked with copyright "LA Huffman Feby 1921" in the lower left with black ink. Visible portion measures 8 1/8 x 13 1/2 inches. Laton Alton Huffman (1854-1931) was among the few photographers to capture the landscape, Native Americans, wildlife, and ranching life in Montana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and enlarged many of his earlier photographs later in his life.

ConditionBoth are excellent showing minimal wear and distinct images, 2) with slightly muted color, and 1) with some visible granulation which appear to have been defects in the original photograph.
