Description:

This colorized panorama type print is by legendary Western photographer L.A. Huffman, with the visible portion measuring 9 5/8 x 24 1/2 inches. It features multiple cowboys containing a large herd of cattle on the western plains with a range of barren mountains in the background. The center at the bottom is marked "#192 or 'Working the Herd', Copyright by Huffman Miles Mont." in black ink. The backing has a framer's label. Laton Alton Huffman (1854-1931) was among the few photographers to capture the landscape, Native Americans, wildlife, and ranching life in Montana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and enlarged many of his earlier photographs later in his life.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, the image distinct, the color showing little fading, and some scattered very light blemishes. The frame is also very fine with a few scattered minor dings. A fantastic shot of cowboys in action on the American frontier by one of its most legendary photographers!
