Built off of an unknown Mauser Model 98 style action, reportedly by rifle builder J. Ridings, per the consignor. Blued steel barrel without sights and marked simply "270 WIN." The blued action displays near full coverage floral scroll engraving that extends to the bolt handle and scope rings which hold a Zeiss Diavari-C 3-9x36mm scope. The bottom metal is engraved in the same style with a silver inlaid red stag and hind in a field scene. Beautifully figured stock which features masterfully executed floral carving and checkering, a running deer scene on the right of the stock, contrasting forend and grip cap, roll-over cheekpiece, and checkered steel buttplate.
