Description:

The smoothbore barrels have German silver bead front sights and are marked "W.J. & R.H. SCOTT/ALBANY" at the breech. The upper tangs have notch rear sights. The locks are marked "WARREN/& STEELE/ALBANY" and have scroll engraving. The saw-handle style stocks have pewter forend caps and German silver furniture, and "909" (A) and "910" (B) inventory type tags are fitted to the pommels.

Rating Definition:

Very good with dark brown patina and staining on the barrel as well as patches of mild pitting, lighter patina on the lock, minor aged patina on the German silver, and some voids in the pewter cap, mild scratches and dings on the fine stock, and some thin cracks and minor chips. Mechanically fine.
