Manufactured from 1979 to 1999 and marketed to law enforcement and foreign military clients, the AC-556 family of weapons is the Mini-14 .223 caliber rifle configured as a factory original selective fire machine gun. Fitted with a birdcage flash hider, blade and adjustable peep sights and standard receiver markings. The selector switch is positioned on the right rear of the receiver, with positions for semi-automatic, three round burst, and full automatic. Smooth hardwood stock, with vented synthetic upper cover, checkered pistol grip, and folding metal buttstock. Includes a cased Ciener .22 caliber conversion kit which appears to contain all the components including two .22 caliber magazines, a generic soft case, manual, and pouch of tools.

Excellent, retains 90% plus of the original blue finish with moderate edge wear, cycling, and handling marks and some light oxidation/residue buildup inside the flash hider. The wood is very fine with some scattered light handling marks and a minor ding on the right forearm. Mechanically excellent. The conversion kit is excellent with minimal wear. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
