Developed around 2016, the Maxim 9 pistol and the Maxim 9S silencer were designed from the very beginning as an integrated system, and it stands as the only such unified system on the market. The heart of the design is a delayed blowback semi-automatic mechanism with the recoil assembly integrated into a bolt carrier/slide, and a variable volume baffle array which doubles as a mounting point for pistol-sized optics devices. The baffles in turn are staged downward relative to the bore in a style reminiscent of the original 1900s vintage Maxim Silencer, providing a high expansion volume without requiring higher profile sights, with a set of three Keymod slots on the underside. The grip assembly is configured to accept Glock pattern magazines, with a textured surface, reversible magazine catch and ambidextrous slide release. The factory box is numbered to match both the pistol frame and the integral silencer base, and contains an extra magazine, tools, a section of Keymod-compatible picatinny rail, and the manual.

Excellent, with 98% of the original matte black finish, showing some rubbing on the sides of the slide and minor cycling/handling wear overall. Mechanically excellent.
