Manufactured from 1955 to 1964 with a heavy barrel, dovetail block at the front and holes drilled for a receiver peep sight. The left side of the receiver ring is marked "U.S./22 LONG RIFLE" over the serial number with standard Remington markings on the left receiver rail. The right rear side of the barrel is marked with the typical Remington barrel proofs. The barrel is fitted with a scope block 6 inches forward of the breech, and the front and rear receiver rings are also drilled and tapped with filler screws in the front and a scope base mounted on the rear. With the standard heavy pistol grip walnut target-style stock with the accessory rail, cut out at the front of the comb, and a serrated White Line buttplate.
