An evolution of the Mauser 1893, the M96 Mauser was ordered by the government of Sweden, chiefly made on license in-country but supplemented with Mauser-made rifles due to early production shortfalls. Blade front and folding ladder rear sights, with the Mauser address and "1900" date on the receiver ring. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock, brown leather sling, and "6.50/3" marked data disc.
