Manufactured in the 1970s/1980s as part of the "A" suffix serial range, this Auto-Ordnance 1928 Thompson receiver (absent bolt and internal components, receiver only) is virtually a perfect reproduction of the original vintage "Roaring Twenties" Tommy Gun. Blade front and folding ladder peep sights, with the signature Cutts Compensator and cooling fins on the barrel, the receiver has the Auto-Ordnance patent info on the right and the model markings on the left. Internally, the receiver is properly cut to receive a Blish lock equipped 1921/1928 bolt assembly. Included with the receiver is a hand-numbered matching shipping box with two Thompson brochures, a modern "FBI" style case, two "Type X" 10-round drum magazines, five stick magazines, a buttstock and a cleaning rod.

Excellent, retains 97% original blue finish with a small scuff on the right rear of the receiver with light pitting on the exposed surface, and crisp markings in the metal. Accessories are in good order. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
