Manufactured in 1926. The barrel is marked "45 COLT" on the left side and has the one-line Hartford address on top. The left side of the casehardened frame has the two-line patent dates marking followed by a Rampant Colt. The left side of the trigger guard is stamped with a Colt factory triangle proof, the number "3" and the letter "X." The front cylinder face is stamped with the letter "J", and the rear cylinder face is stamped with the number "10." Matching assembly number "932" is stamped on the loading gate and rear of the frame. Both period replacement silver Rampant Colt medallion grip panels are numbered "348810" in pencil. Matching serial numbers are on the frame and trigger guard and back strap under the right grip panel.
Very fine. The barrel and ejector rod housing retain 85% original blue finish with some holster type wear. The replacement cylinder retains 90% plus original blue finish. The grip straps retain 85% original blue finish with thinning on the balance. 95% plus original case colors remain on the hammer and frame. The replacement grips are also very fine with some minor handling marks, a few typical age lines and attractive color and grain. Mechanically excellent.
