The accompanying factory letter for this revolver confirms the 7 1/2 inch barrel in .32-20 and blue finish (type of stocks not listed). The letter also states the revolver was shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. of Chicago, Illinois, on April 13, 1908. This was a two gun shipment. The barrel and frame have standard Colt markings, and the left side of the trigger guard is marked with a Colt factory triangle proof and the number "6". Matching serial number appears on the frame, trigger guard, back strap and both grip panels ("2484").
Very fine, retaining 70% original blue finish with mild holster type wear, cylinder drag lines and grip straps thinning to a brown. The hammer and frame also retain 70% original case colors. The grips are excellent with limited handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
