This stunning piece of firearms art is a fantastic tribute to our four legged hunting companions and evokes joyful emotions from the first sight. This exceptional work was carried out by the hand of Italian Master Engraved Giulio Arici and clearly demonstrates that he is more than deserving of his title. The blued steel barrels have a single brass bead sight on the flat matted solid rib, "A. GALAZAN" and "CONNECTICUT SHOTGUN M.F.G. CO./N.B. CT. U.S.A." marked on the left and right of the upper barrel in gold inlaid lettering, and chambers marked at 2 3/4 inches with automatic ejectors. The breech section of the upper barrel shows beautifully executed multi-colored gold inlays of intertwining floral designs. Moving now to the magnificently decorated casehardened pinless sidelock action which displays the bulk of the luxurious adornment. The entirety of the surfaces are covered with outstanding multi-colored gold inlaid floral designs, geometric patterns, and of course, eight wonderful hunting dog scenes. Starting on the left we see a pair of English pointers, one on point and the other on honoring imposed of a meticulously done spiderweb design, next is a profile bust of pointer, and then another full body pointer at the front also over a spiderweb design. On the right side displays a pair of setters over another panel of the spiderweb design, a profile bust of a setter, and a full body setter inlay on a panel of spiderweb. On the underside there is a profile bust of a lab as well as two sitting labs over the final panel of the eye-popping spiderweb background. The intricate multi-colored gold floral inlays continue on the toplever, triggerguard, top tang, and lower tang which also shows the serial number in white gold. The gun features a single trigger, double rolled triggerguard, and a tang mounted manual safety switch with gold inlaid "SAFE". Finally we come to the magnificently figured floral carved, multi-color gold wire inlaid, and multi-point checkered stock and forend. The forend shows four panels of this floral scroll carving with gold inlays ranging in width, the huge continuous checkering panel is surrounded by yellow gold wire borders, and gold inlaid metal fittings including the Anson button style release and the extended forend shoe which has a seamless fit to the action with a geometric border design running from one to the next. The pistol grip stock displays tear drop carved flats, four sections of the aforementioned gold inlaid floral carving, yellow gold bordered checkering panels at the wrist, a scalloped horn grip cap, and a final example of the exceptional multi-colored gold inlays on the blued skeleton buttplate which surrounds the checkered bare but. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both measure .614 inches; choke constriction .036/.036 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.035 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 5/8 inch drop at heel; 14 13/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 15 oz.
