The casehardened action displays broad floral scroll with dog scenes on either side, a game bird scene on the underside, and an "MSC" monogram on the triggerguard. The gun features gold double triggers and tang mounted safety. Beautifully figured, fancy checkered splinter forend with engraved shoe and ebony tip inlay and straight grip stock with blank inscription oval and Ithaca hard rubber buttplate. Includes an extra set of 26 inch barrels with .000/.000 choke constriction. The above configuration is confirmed by the included factory letter, including the extra barrel set, when the gun was completed November 9, 1897.
