Manufactured in 1926 per the included Parker Collectors Association letter which also confirms the current configuration. Per page 406 of "The Parker Story" by Gunther, Mullins, Price, Parker, and Cote, only 1,258 guns were completed in this configuration. Blued Acme Steel barrel with dual white bead sights on the matted, vent rib, standard Parker barrel markings, and 2 5/8 inch chamber with ejector. The casehardened boxlock action features near full coverage floral scroll engraving with a solitary pigeon on the underside. Very nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings including the Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap and added red rubber recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements: bore diameter nine inches from the breech .739 inches; choke constriction .042 inches; minimum wall thickness .057 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs 1 oz.
Very fine, retaining 98% plus original blue and 80% original casehardened finishes, light handling evidence, minor oxidation on the underside of the action and forend shoe, some chipping on the left of the forend at the shoe, and crisp checkering on the stock and forend. The ejector hammer needs work, otherwise mechanically fine.
