Manufactured in 1941. Single steel front sight bead on the barrel which is marked "12 GA." and "CYL" along with the Winchester address and patent information. Oval Winchester "W/P" proofmarks are stamped on the top of the barrel and the receiver. "USAC/21216" has been electro pencil marked below the action serial number and above the barrel number, its significance is unknown. No U.S. Ordnance marks are present on the gun. Mounted with an 18-groove forend and replacement smooth pistol grip stock with "G/P/C" marked on the bottom of the grip, possible for the Georgia Prison Commission and with a checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches.
Very fine, retaining 80% original blue finish, scattered freckling though throughout, slide retraction wear, and a small chip at the toe of the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
