Manufactured in 1969. Standard barrel markings and Belgian proofs. The attractively grayed receiver body features fine floral and scroll engraving on a darkened background with a bugling elk on the right of the front ring and a bull moose on the left. The floorplate is engraved with a standing bear in a mountain scene. The trigger guard features a cougar surrounded by floral scroll. The rifle is signed "A.BEE" on the left of the receiver ring, "VANDERSMISSENG." on the floorplate and "AM" on the trigger guard, likely for A. Marechal. Mounted in an exceptionally well figured pistol grip stock with fine checkering, floral carved accented borders, contrasting rosewood forend and grip caps, gold diamond on the grip end, raised cheekpiece, and vented Browning White Line recoil pad. The included factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, and no sights, as well as being sold on 19 May, 1970 to Sportland Inc. in Lansing, Michigan.

Excellent, retains 99% plus of the original blue and grey finishes with a very slight speckling of brown patina on the bolt handle and cocking piece. The wood is also excellent with a few scattered light handling marks, crisp checkering/carving, and retaining 99% plus of the original varnish. Mechanically excellent.
