The coin action features full coverage leafy scroll engraving against shaded backgrounds surrounding highly detailed scenes of ducks in flight. Each duck is rendered in fine, detailed, semi-relief gold inlay, and the scenes themselves are bordered with gold wire inlay. The underside is inscribed and gold inlaid "AMERICAN MALLARD ANAS PLATYRHYNCHOS/319 of 500". The trigger guard and tangs are engraved to match with a gold inlaid bust of a duck on the guard. Fancy figured scroll border checkered walnut round knob pistol grip stock and multi-point checkered forearm with matching engraved fittings and skip-line checkered bare butt. Collector serialized with the next lot. Includes original box and hardwood case. Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes with a few dings near the stock, otherwise; limited minor handling marks and crisp engraving and stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine with storage and handling marks. Case is very fine with limited storage and handling marks.
