Description:

Manufactured in 1873, this is one of approximately 7,500 manufactured known as the "cloverleaf" variation, due to the shape of their four-shot cylinder. The top of the barrel has the faint standard two-line address flanked by Maltese crossed and the patent date is deeply stamped in the sighting groove on top of the frame. It has matching serial numbers on the bottom of the barrel, butt, and faintly inside of both grips.

Rating Definition:

Fine, retains 80% of the period retailer applied nickel plating with some mild flaking at the muzzle and on a few areas of the cylinder showing some light surface pitting. The grips are also fine with some scattered light handling marks and retaining most of the varnish. Mechanically excellent.
