Manufactured in 1948 as a licensed copy of the Colt Government Model semi-automatic pistol, the 1927 was manufactured in Argentina for the various Argentine uniformed services. This example is marked for the Army. It is fitted with fixed sights, with the "D.G.F.M. - (F.M.A.P)" maker's mark on the left side of the slide and "EJERCITO ARGENTINO/SIST. COLT CAL. 11.25mm. MOD. 1927" next to the Argentine crest on the right. Matching numbers are present on the slide (right side and top), barrel, frame and magazine. Included with the pistol is a modern Kraft style box hand numbered to the gun, which contains two additional matching numbered full blue magazines. Provenance: The Mel Raucher Collection

Excellent, retains 98% plus of the original blue finish with a few scattered light handling marks and some very light edge wear. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with evidence of an absent end label and torn corner on the lid and light handling/storage wear.
