Blued barrel with hooded ramped beaded blade front sight, rear quarter rib with two folding leaf rear sight, scope mounting slots, and caliber marking, "JAEGER, GRAND JUNCTION, TENN" marked ahead of the rib, and single band of engraving at the breech. The Jaeger marking is for the firm of Paul Jaeger, who moved from Jenkintown, PA to Grand Junction, TN around 1986. The casehardened falling block action displays beautifully executed floral scroll engraving which extends to the tangs and the action lever/triggerguard. Exceptionally figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with engraved casehardened grip cap marked "H.S.M.", shadowline cheekpiece, and black rubber Pachmayr recoil pad.
Very fine overall as professionally built by the Paul Jaeger firm, retaining 99% plus blue and casehardened finishes, limited handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.
