Manufactured in 1904 with standard two-line address on top of the barrel and caliber marking on the left, two-line patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt on the left of the frame, and matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap. The loading gate is marked with assembly number "6573". The included factory letter confirms the current configuration (grips not listed) as well as shipment to ED. S. Hughes & Co. in Abilene, Texas on 6 September 1904.
Good, showing mostly a smooth grey patina overall with some scattered patches of light surface pitting, typical of a Texas working gun. The grips are also good showing moderate wear typical of years of use by a previous owner, and a few light dings on the butts. Mechanically excellent.
