"U.S." and flaming bomb proof marked on the barrel and left of the receiver, and "MILITARY FINISH" marked on the left of the receiver. Naval anchor stamped on the left of the trigger guard. Crossed Ordnance cannons and "FJA" (Frank J. Atwood) inspection cartouche marked on the left of the buttstock. Rating Definition:

Excellent, retains 95% plus original blue finish with a few light scratches, a few patches of light pitting/surface corrosion concentrated on compensator and top rear of the receiver, and sharp markings and edges in the metal. Wood is very fine as shortened with defined edges, some light scratches and handling marks, a few minor chips along the edge of the pistol grip and crisp inspection stamps. Absent buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
