Description:

The accompanying factory letter confirms nickel finish and checkered black hard rubber grips (illegible barrel length listed on the invoice but according to S&W historian Roy Jinks "appears to be either 1 1/2 or 2 inches"). The letter also states the revolver was shipped on March 3, 1925 and delivered to Bluefield Hardware Co., Bluefield, WV. The revolver features an extremely rare and desirable factory original special order 1 1/2 inch barrel which lacks S&W markings and is fitted with a pinned blade front sight. Matching serial number on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder, barrel and barrel latch.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining 98% original nickel plating with cylinder drag lines. Nearly all original blue finish remains on the trigger guard. 90% original case colors remain on the trigger. The grips are very fine with some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. A high condition S&W .32 Safety Hammerless Bicycle revolver with a 1 1/2 inch barrel missing from even the most advanced collections.
