Description:

Measuring 24 1/2 inches overall, with a 17 1/2 inch blade, showing a straight hamon, a set of two bo-hi grooves on each side, and a two piece gold washed habaki which is sculpted to match the larger grooves. fitted with a round iron tsuba with pierced through designs, gold accented blackened fuchi, black horn kashira, green suede wrap over gold accented oxen and cart themed menuki, and a black lacquer saya with matching ox cart decoration on the kogatana. The tang shows three mekugi-ana, with the larger of the bo-hi running clear off the end and no visible signature. With an embroidered cloth case.

Rating Definition:

Very good overall. Areas of spotting and discoloration are present on the blade, with some nicks along the edge, evidence of polishing on the right side, and mild wear/handling marks. The tsuba shows heavier oxidization and a deep brown patina, the saya shows minor scuffing and chipping of the finish, and the furniture is generally fine.
