Connecticut by Auto-Ordnance, the 1928AC Thompson SMGs were manufactured on the same lines as the military contract 1928A1 SMG but were instead pulled out of line to be sold to law enforcement, with the markings altered; the inspection marks, "U.S." and the "1" in "A1" have been struck off, with a "C" added to make "AC" and an "X" struck behind the serial number. Blade front sight on the Cutts-marked compensator and fixed peep rear sights, with a smooth barrel, horizontal handguard, post and drum selector/safety switches, matching numbered trigger housing and quick-detach buttstock. A 1928 pattern bolt with Blish lock and oiler assembly is installed. Provenance: The Al Walker Collection

Rating Definition:

Fine as reblued, with 90% of the blue, showing a few spots of oxidization, some areas of minor sub-surface pitting, and scattered handling marks. The wood is very good, with mild dings and scuffs. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) that is classified as a "Curios or Relic" as defined in 27 CFR, 478.11.
